But, I don't want Barnaby to end!!! :(
So, we left off with Chapter 23. Barnaby's cord gets chewed by a fox and he ends up lost in space! A bit wacky and weird and fantastical, but isn't that what reading is all about? I wish I had the imagination of John Boyne (the author).
I couldn't help but feel that anxiety and "burning sensation" with Barnaby when he ended up at the hospital waiting to see his parents, friends, and family the next day.
He talks about how "he will never have any adventures again?" If you'd been separated from your parents for that long - would that be the thought that runs through your head? I can't help but still feel badly for Barnaby's family dynamic and the relationships within.
I want to talk to you guys about what Henry tells him when they are finally reunited... I am so angry!!! PLUS, it leads me to believe that the series of events that follows is totally warranted!
Can't wait to meet next week to talk about the ending!
Let me know on here when you've finished! :) Mrs. Smith
